Peyton Manning is one of the most marketable athletes of our time. The dude is like Ryan Reynolds or The Rock, illustrious career, impossible to hate. That’s why brands salivate to work with him–Reebok, Nabisco, Hasbro, Rawlings, Sprint, Gatorade, Papa John’s, Sony, Kraft, DirecTV, MasterCard and Air Tran. Just to name a few.
Last night at the ESPY’s, Manning displayed his comedic chops, holding nothing back in addressing hot button issues of the past year in sports–Durant joining the enemy, the circus that is the New York Knicks, Mark Sanchez’s butt fumble, to name a few.
Peyton’s jabs didn’t come without one scud missile directed at him, thanks to Patriots receiver Julian Edelman. Edelman and a few teammates were accepting the award for Best Game when the Super Bowl hero took a shot at Peyton’s difficulties playing in cold weather over his 18-year career.

In playoff games when the kickoff temperature has been 40 degrees or colder, Manning’s teams were 1-5.
I’m a Patriots fan, but I have no shortage of respect for The Sheriff after this moment…
